on a more positive note (pretty active today huh?)

anyways, didn't want to be all blizzow and what not, so...

here are a few hot items i've come across on the web. some of this shit is old some of it is new. either way feel free to getcha check on...

great place for vinyl...
oh yeah, massive selection of great underground and classic material

this a tight offering from Yahoo! for desktop enhancement. i downloaded it over a month ago and never really checked it out until yesterday. i'm feelin' it...

yahoo widgets

watch out for AOL Triton. it will not maintain your old IM account by screen name or anything else. it completely robs you of whatever IM identity you may have had for who knows how many years on the net. if you install it, you have to select a new name and someone may have already selected your name. HOW WACK IS THIS! if you want to keep the old AIM, here is the place to go to get it...

old (and likely better) AIM

and on another watch out tip, if you're not a fan of iTunes (like me), you don't have to install the beast with QuickTime. there is a stand alone installer and you can get that from...

just QuickTime please! (be careful of those 2 check boxes too!)

let's see, what else...

oh yeah, if you wanna cop some books on the budget tip, here are some great spots...

it ain't literal, but it can lead to literary liberation
recently cheaper than amazon
usually the cheapest and quite quick with the shipping

okay, gotta go assemble the super duper new workstation...eat one Mac...wait'll i cop that dual core...

make like a Pentium CPU in one of my systems...

just a little added bitterness to go along with the question from the last post...

DRAMA

1 question: why do management types tend to underestimate the intellect of their employees? or maybe this shit just happens to me? maybe that's why i am so bent on having my own business that is essentially a proprietorship. or perhaps, i am such a 'nob that i just don't like other people that exhibit social and/or intellectual deficiencies. hmmm.

anyway, Crepta has been dicking me over for the past 2 weeks since Needa's been down. this shit is to the point of me wanting to smack the shit out of any Crepta employee that says something i don't like. you know like "where's your pass sir." or "move to the back please." or even better "there's another bus right behind me." i'm fi'n ta put some Crepta in my teeth right about now...

project studio plans took a major hit thanks to Needa's needin' a trannie. that shit ate up my mixer $. don't know how long it's gonna take to save up for the mixer i want, but i'm not going out on a Mackie since i found out about this Allen & Heath. it's only 14 channels, but it looks real sweet. gonna look even sweeter in the studio. got all the pizzarts for the workstation. in fact, i'm about to start filming the process today. [filming! huh?]

yup, i'm filming the process and one of my 1st projects in the project studio is going to be to edit and author a DVD to be given to TechMD215 clients on how to build a PC. i'm all about education, and i figure what better way to show people how easy it is to maintain a system than through a DVD trainer. most techs would probably feel better if the average user wallowed in their ignorance, but i ain't most techs...

anyways, looks like i may be seeking some less volatile employment situation(s). maybe not, but under the current circumstances, it may be best if i do. i've never collected unemployment 1 day in my life. not planning on starting now.

on that note. catch you with a bat...to the dome that is...

well...

...GODDAYUM!

it's been a minute, huh? shit's been crizzle lizzle fa rizzle. Needa had a fucking stroke and i had to keep'er. we had a deal that if she died she was gone, but the reality is that i need my ride now. it took 3 months to find Needa. the shit i'm working on and my current station in life require me to have transport other than Crepta. i like sleeping on the bus, but i don't particularly like having that kind of travel time where i can sleep for over an hour while traveling. at least not when i'm running errands anyway. now a vacation...

...i could sleep like that on a plane, train or bus. that is if my large self can fit on the particular mode of vehicular escapism. usually that's not the case. i can't even fit in a Navi. could somebody please explain beyond conspicuous consumption why a Lincoln Navigator exists? i rode in a friend's once and it was so small inside i thought i was in the Twilight Zone or some shit like that. like it was a Navi on the outside, but inside it was a freakin' Escort...

oh yeah, i'm on it right now. technically, i shouldn't even be posting this shit at the moment. i'm supposed to be on Crepta headed to Conshie for my internship. so on that note, i'm O-U-T!

make like Kanye West's skills as an emcee...

bloing, bloing, bloing...

yeah, yeah, whatever. it's been a few days. i'm pretty much beat from the new schedule. i'm gettin' it in this semester. 14 credits plus working full time. the last time i tried this, i got burnt out after about 4 months. difference now is i have a better gig. also i'm only hustling 1 gig. last time i was hustling 1 pt gig, 1 ft gig and ft evening classes 5 days a week. [SHEESH!] now i'm only working ft 4 days out of the week. thing is my work schedule is a l'il crizzle. i'm bustin' overnights essentially every shift. don't get me confrabulated, i like the hours. it's the combo of ft school and ft work that's making things tight. if i wasn't a family man, it might'nt be all that, but i am. gotta keep the seed and the queen in the light you know.

anyways, speaking of the queen, had an irritating argument w/her yesterday. the end result was an utter lack of sleep on the day. now i'm beatified. i won't even go into the details of the disagreement. i don't feel like it.

the job is going through growing pains. we used to have snacks, but now it costs too much to keep us snacked up. the management's bustin' it up w/the vending type modulation. it's cool. all i really ate was cashews and pop tarts. the other shit was fattening and not good for me anyway. speaking of fattening, i haven't been doing my exercises. ol' fatass...

taxes baby...

if you don't know, you betta find out. check out Turbo Tax and/or Tax Freedom. i've been doing my own taxes since high school. i've only gotten it wrong once and that was on some stupid shit that i did w/a missing W-2. IRS got their loot the next year outta my refund...[OUCH!] got a nice chunk coming this year. plan on paying off some or all of my credit report blemishes. it's likely to be more somish because i'm copping some gear as well. found this tight looking mixer, but it's $1400. gotta have a tight mixer though. this home studio project is key.

well, i'm tired of writing and my izarm is izachin'...

now make like a follicle on a chronically bald man's head...

i'm not a Mac hater...

...i just hate to part w/that much loot to get a computer with which i cannot technically fiddle. i actually dig Macs, but i cannot expense for one at the moment. perhaps if i began to thoroughly promote myself as the tech that i am, i could generate the necessary fundulation to expedite said purchase. that would be rather ironic. fixing PC's to derive the necessary capital for acquiring a Mac...how about that! [hey that rhymed. YAAY!] anyway, primarily, i am dedicated to getting...[uncharacteristically interrupted by life's circumstances for the last 8 days]...no idea how that sentence was supposed to end. [hmmm, oh well!]

a computer is a computer. i don't think most people realize that the essential differences between a Mac and any PC are significantly insignificant. they are essentially the same machine. it's like cars with the whole make and model bit. oddly, for raw computing power and capability, PC's are usually better spec'ed than the Mac's of similar processing power. the 2 major factors between Mac and PC consist of OS and flexibility. [i don't feel like discussing this any further, sorry!]

i'm tired. going to sleep soon. taking my ass to bed...
