i try to see any artist that i truly dig live at least 1X. EB is like Sade for me. i've seen Sade 1X, but it was w/my nut ass sperm donor. in fact, that show was so bangin', i enjoyed it anyway w/poor seating & company. back to EB though, she can sing like a motherfucker. recognize that her singing abilities are not at all properly represented by her studio recordings at all. i have to check out her live album. i have yet to listen to it in it's entirity. i usually can't stand live recordings, but i think after last nights glorious performance, i have to at least see if that album is representative of her singing abilities...
if you can & you read this, cop that album & go see this show...

props to Rick for doing her sound @ the Tower. the sound was some of the most pleasantly mixed audio in a live concert that i have heard in recent times. i sat in the pit and could still fucking hear properly when i left the theater. i am mad impressed w/that shit.
on that note...
make like i knew D'Angelo released an independent album last year...
