sometimes i just think of some smart ass shit to use for a blog title. oddly, there is actual meaning that relates to the post content. for example, i don't believe in using outside entities to provide for mitigating circumstances. [huh?]
the devil neither does wrong nor makes you or i do wrong. the mistakes that we commit & the weaknesses that we exhibit are no one's fault but our own. yet in still, groups of humans have created great myths throughout history to explain away our responsibility for our individual & collective actions.
the concept of god is also an issue in this light. the Western philosophy of god & its gender is truly a reflection of Western society's issues & motivations. the perpetuation of patriarchy in Western spiritual teachings is borderline disturbing in its subliminal promotion of sexism. think about it, a perfect entity would not be limited to a definition of a physical form. that said, how can any concept of a supreme force/being/entity involve any specific characteristics that would indicate some limitation of being.
in essence, the infinite & perfect would not tend to fit into the finite. the infinite cannot be described as finite. the words nor the associated contextual meanings of either are not synonyms. the finite can be a part of the infinite, but not vice versa. this train of thought kills any concept of evil being external to the human set of actions. our description of evilness does not excuse the fact that it is still human behavior.
our finite vessels have had difficulty finding & understanding our purpose in the eyes of the universe. this is observable behavior for humans of various socio-economic & ethnic backgrounds.
make like i believe gas should be anywhere near $4...
